Students have 12 months to complete their course. Is prior experience required to start the course? For most of our courses, you do not need any prior learning experience, however, please check with your course advisor to see if your course has any pre-entry requirements. Do I have direct access to a mentor? You have direct access to a mentor at all times during MCI business hours, Monday to Friday 9:00 to 5:00 pm. If you need assistance after business hours, please let us know and we'll do our best to help you.  Do I have to sit exams in a classroom? There are no exams! Your competency is determined by assessments. Please see your course guide for a list of assessment strategies. What computer will I need? Any kind of computer or iPad and an internet connection is all you need to get started. It would be ideal if you have the Microsoft office suite. Student packages can be purchased. What is a nationally recognised qualification? Our courses are approved under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). Nationally recognised qualifications are standardised, portable and recognised by employers across Australia. They are also only delivered by Registered Training Organisations, like MCI, who are regulated by a government body (ASQA).
